BELOTERO is a prescription injection that is approved to temporarily smooth out and fill in moderate to- severe nasolabial folds (the folds or wrinkles that go from the side of the nose to the corner of the mouth).

How is Belotero Balance® administered?

Belotero Balance® is injected into the skin using a small needle.

A “touch up” injection is often given 2 weeks after the first injection to get the optimal smoothing and rounding of skin or to make the effect last longer. You and Dr. Cadoux will decide whether a second “touch up” injection is needed later on. In one study, 67 out of 93 subjects had a second injection of Belotero Balance®. In another study, 103 out of 118 subjects were given a second injection.

How long does Belotero Balance® last?

The filling effect of Belotero Balance® lasts about 6 months and then slowly goes away.

Does Belotero Balance® have any side effects?

As with all fillers, the most common side effects seen after injection were swelling, bruising, redness, and hardening that resolve within one week. More rare side effects may include swelling that lasts longer, unevenness or firmness in the area injected, and as with any injection, there may be a risk of infection.
